Northern Housing Consortium (NHC) is the North’s leading membership organisation for social housing providers and enjoys strong relationships with local and national government, representing the views of housing organisations across the North. NHC provide a range of products and services aimed at ensuring that the interests of the North are fully consulted, represented and served at sub-regional, regional and national level.

We’re looking to appoint a Member Engagement Officer to our Member Engagement team.

This is a key role for us; you will support the Member Engagement team to engage with our members to support them in understanding emerging policy from the incoming Government. You will work closely with NHC membership to understand the issues facing their organisations and communities and develop peer support networks and disseminate emerging best practice. You will track and interpret emergent and existing housing policy and legislation and analyse the impact on member organisations across the North

You will provide administrative support for the All Party Parliamentary Group for Housing in the North, for which we act as secretariat, working to raise the profile of housing issues with parliamentarians.

The role would be ideally suited to candidates interested in developing a career in policy, engagement or communications. You will have a sound understanding of housing policy and be able to analyse policy developments and needs.

A full current driving licence is required.
