Northern Housing Consortium (NHC) is the North’s leading membership body for social housing providers and enjoys strong relationships with local and national government, representing the views of housing organisations across the North. NHC provide a range of products and services aimed at ensuring that the interests of the North are fully consulted, represented and served at a sub-regional, regional and national level.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our organisation at a senior level to support our influencing and campaigning work and to position the NHC as demonstrating strong thought leadership for the housing (and related) sector in the North.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring our members are able to anticipate, understand and influence the policy agenda that impacts their organisations and operating environment, in order to secure an appropriate policy framework. In addition, your insight and contribution to business intelligence will help to provide an internal research and development function for NHC service development.

You will have a deep understanding of the housing market and the issues facing it. You will demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to assimilate complex information and disseminate it in a clear, logical and accessible way, tailoring messages to the audience. You will possess excellent written and oral presentation skills. You will be highly competent at developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders, working effectively at an executive level.
