About the Graduate Programme
Having successfully launched our Graduate Programme in 2012, we are now looking for outstanding graduates to join us in 2017 on one of two streams:

• Stream One: will see you working in public and corporate affairs at a national and European level
• Stream Two: focuses on local and regional political and stakeholder audiences, with a particular emphasis on planning communications

The Programme provides an exciting opportunity to jump-start a career in political and corporate communications, working closely from day one with a varied set of clients ranging from challenger firms through to big FTSE-listed brands in sectors including education, energy and environment, financial services, health, housing, justice and legal services, transport and property development.

You will be an essential part of a first-class team drawn from politics, policy and the media, and part of an ambitious company with a supportive and collaborative culture. We will provide feedback on all work, training throughout your career as well as regular reviews to agree and discuss your career objectives. Through on-the-job and formal training, you will benefit from a focus on leadership skills, analytical thinking and problem solving, effective written and oral communications, understanding business, and creativity. Courses include ‘Persuading and Influencing’, ‘Project Management’, ‘Developing Effective Strategies’ and ‘Powerful Presentations’.

Successful applicants will be invited to an assessment day at Newington’s Head Office in London on Friday 21 April.

Applicants must be able to begin work no later than September 2017, but we would welcome applications from candidates who are able to start earlier.
