Central YMCA is currently seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic individual to join our large team of volunteers on a flexible basis.
Although there are no specified set hours or responsibilities, the work experience you will gain from this flexible voluntary post includes supporting the Policy and Parliamentary Affairs Officer with the achievement of the Charity’s strategic objectives regarding the education and the skills sector, assisting with policy research, campaigns, events and the development of parliamentary relationships. You will have the opportunity to gain heaps of industry experience, by attending exciting meetings and events.
The role will also provide the right person with extensive administrative experience, while working alongside the Executive Personal Assistant to provide ad hoc administrative support within the Charity.
Other experience you can get involved in if you wish can include:
• Project work on policy issues
• Providing administrative support
• Assisting with researching and monitoring relevant issues in media and politics
• Monitoring and preparing material for the website
• Communicating with a wide range of audiences

The role being advertised is a voluntary one. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you should be free to come and go as you wish.
