An exciting opportunity to gain work experience with StreetGames on a new campaign to tackle holiday hunger. StreetGames is an award winning sports charity that helps disadvantaged communities. Through sport the StreetGames Network changes lives, changes sport and changes communities.

The new campaign, Fit and Fed will provide sport and exercise and healthy food for children during the summer holidays, reducing inequalities around lack of provision and filling the gap created when free school meals are not provided over the summer.

There are four temporary positions available in our London office. Researching sources of funding, writing and editing small grants applications, supporting with National and European bids. This is a real opportunity to do real substantive work for an industry leading national charity and develop a wide range of skills, and your CV.

Things you may be asked to do:
• Identification of new funding sources
• Grant writing to charitable trusts and foundations
• Engagement with university raising and giving societies
• Maintenance of StreetGames' contact database, liaison with potential donors and supporters
• Contributing to advocacy work including research and writing for papers, articles and reports
• Assisting with the maintenance of StreetGames' website and online fundraising channels
• Donor management and reporting
• Supporting with events
• Other administrative tasks related to fundraising

• A self starter able to work with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with MS Office software and good word-processing skills
• Flexible collegiate style enjoying working in a small team
• Ability to deal with competing demands, multiple priorities and time constraints
• Excellent written and spoken English including with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.

The ideal candidate should be above all flexible and creative. Previous interns have typically been pursuing or recently graduating from graduate/post-graduate level studies.

The positions are ideally for 2 days a week for 3 months from April.
