Job Details

Blackstock a fast expanding communications consultancy based in Hatton Garden. Having taken on some major new blue-chip clients, we’re looking to expand and take on someone with at least one year's experience in PR or public affairs to support our growth.

You must have paid experience to be considered for this role. Generous benefits, flexible working and a negotiable salary are offered, along with the chance to receive great training and to work within a team that constantly drives the news agenda.

Our company works with businesses across the property and tech worlds, providing PR, policy insight, business development and broader strategic advice. A key part of our offer is to act as an out-sourced research department for our clients, with outputs ranging from in-depth reports on housing and logistics to high-level analysis of business rates reforms that has driven the news and political agenda.

We believe in taking an integrated approach to our work – which means pooling our expertise in politics, media and business to ensure that whatever we create gets the most impactful coverage possible. Our campaigns and research have been featured extensively in the press since we were established two years ago. We’ve helped establish civic crowdfunding, via our work with Spacehive. We’ve run lobbying campaigns with The Sun and Merlin Entertainment. And we’re building up the UK’s first home rental brand with Essential Living.

We’re passionate about using ideas to drive companies’ profiles. We therefore need someone full of ideas, a meticulous command of English, a high degree of organisation and a willingness to work. We don’t expect you to have detailed knowledge of tech or property immediately, but we would expect you to be able to research the latest trends and quickly get to grips with the issues.

We value people who are quick to learn. An interest in current affairs and the ability to confidently deal with people of all levels is vital. We believe passionately in nurturing talent, and this role will be fantastic platform to expand your abilities, build your confidence and meet a wide variety of senior figures.
