Robert Courts MP is seeking a Caseworker/Diary Secretary in West Oxfordshire.

The successful applicant will have a strong work ethic, be highly motivated and be able to work as part of a small team.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills are essential, as is the ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload.

The successful candidate will demonstrate their enthusiasm to play a key role in a small team to support Robert in his constituency work.

 Key responsibilities
Write letters and emails to constituents, and on their behalf, relating to casework queries.
Attend surgeries and other meetings as appropriate and to take notes and follow up.
Deal with standard queries by phone, email or in person from members of the public.
Gather relevant information to assist with resolving cases.
Manage own caseload, progress of casework and work to tight deadlines.
Retain records and information confidentially and in line with the Data Protection Act.
Manage diary – Apple Calendar.
Photos and social media management.

Experience required
Exceptional attention to detail.
Proven experience of producing high quality correspondence.
Very competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
A clean driving licence and access to car, insurance etc.
Research and policy experience would be an advantage.
Ability to work well in a small team and a good sense of humour.

Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
