Development in Action (DiA) is a UK registered charity which exists to promote global citizenship by improving understanding and encouraging engagement in development issues amongst young people in the UK. 

DiA has been organising internship placements since 1992, when the organisation was known as Student Action India. Over this time we have been building strong partnerships with a network of NGOs across India. We currently have many partners placed across India located in a range of locations. Since 1993 DiA has placed, trained and supported in excess of 300 interns in India.

We are currently recruiting for a new member to join our India team.

Role description:
Promoting the India programme
Assisting with the recruitment, selection, and training of volunteers
Facilitating with pre and post-departure procedures
Coordinating with our Indian NGO partners 

The ideal candidate should have:
Strong interest in global citizenship and sustainable development
A good ability to multi-task and coordinate with other team members
Competence in corresponding through email, writing job descriptions etc
Confidence in interviewing and training processes (experience a plus)
Experience in overseas volunteering/travelling (preferred)
Time commitment: ideally approximately 1 day per week - flexible.
