Job Title: Office Manager (Administrator)
Working For: UCL Constitution Unit
Salary: £34,056 - £41,163, inclusive of London Allowance
The Constitution Unit is seeking a dynamic, energetic individual to become our new Office Manager. The Office Manager is a linchpin in the Constitution Unit, with responsibility for coordinating events, publications and the website, and serving as the first point of contact for many people externally, including the media. In addition, the successful candidate will have responsibility for financial administration, human resources and running our busy office, as well as contributing to the administration of the wider Department of Political Science.
This is an exciting and varied role, which needs a well-developed ability to multitask, excellent written and oral communication skills, high professional standards and the ability to produce quality work to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, ideally with a 2.1 or above in a relevant discipline (e.g. politics, history, law, management/administration), and have an interest in politics and/or political research. The role requires good numeracy and computing skills, including some familiarity with social media applications, and flexibility to occasionally work out of hours (e.g. for evening seminars). Experience of web design, events organisation, media work, fundraising, and of working in university administration, a think tank or other political environment, would all be advantageous.
This is a full-time position.
