Role
Reporting to the Head of Media Relations, the incoming press officer will support proactive and reactive media campaigns, identify opportunities to drive forward the organisation’s corporate narrative and promote their reputation. As part of the group communications team, you will be involved in wider corporate affairs activities supporting on financial results and communications planning for their subsidiary companies. With a strong stakeholder relations element, you’ll be engaging with a variety of audiences including trade, regional and national press, trade bodies, MPs and government departments.

Candidate
• Strong grounding in communications within a complex organisation and/or issues, in-house or agency
• Inquisitive, proactive and able to work autonomously
• Experience of, and/or an interest in energy policy plus the ability to learn quickly
• Ability to analyse and communicate complex information to a range of stakeholders
