We are looking to recruit a Policy & Parliamentary Officer to continue our fantastic work in Parliament. You will play a pivotal role in the campaign to ensure lifesaving defibrillators are available in schools across the UK.

You will need to have experience of working on campaigns which have affected change. With the knowledge of parliament, procedures - including private members bills, requesting MPs and Peers to table questions and an ability to communicate the cause to Members of Parliament of all political party persuasions or none. You must also have the ability to work alone and as part of small a staff team and have excellent communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.

This role will focus on three key areas:

  1. Carry out our Parliamentary Strategy, working closely with our Founder, working on our priorities for the next 12 months
  2. Working to secure a Private Members Bill in May from the House of Commons
  3. In March 2017, Schools Minister Lord Nash offered to host a Government Reception in Parliament to commemorate the work of the Foundation, you will need to work closely with department officials and our Founder to ensure we make the most of this event and secure maximum exposure

This role will be supported by a member of Office admin staff as and when needed.
