The Office of the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner is seeking a Head of Strategy and Engagement. 

You will be responsible for supporting the Commissioner in his role as the national lead for policing performance within the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC), and his deputy role for mental health - one of the guiding principles in the Commissioner’s Safer in Kent Plan. You will be the key individual responsible for liaising with local authority leaders, MPs and national organisations to ensure the Commissioner’s messages are heard and his plans are delivered. 

This role requires an individual with strong interpersonal skills who can advise, negotiate and influence, as well as develop and manage relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.  Accordingly, you will have had experience at a senior level working with politicians and executive management with the ability to gain their trust and confidence.
