The Council of Deans of Health is the representative voice of the UK university health faculties engaged in education and research for nursing, midwifery and the allied health professions. At any one time, our members are educating more than 100,000 future health professionals, as well as supporting existing staff in their professional development and carrying out research into some of health and social care’s most pressing problems.We are offering an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s policy team as a Senior Policy Officer. The main areas of our policy work are international and research policy, workforce, regulation and teaching and learning. The successful candidate will work with members to lead work across two of these portfolios. It is anticipated that this post will initially focus on research and international policy.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in a policy, public affairs, parliamentary or membership organisation role, with excellent skills in influencing and policy analysis. You’ll need to be motivated and fast-working, able to take opportunities to work with members, government officials, professional bodies, regulators and a range of other stakeholders to deliver our policy priorities.

Our office is based in Central London and the role comes with generous terms and conditions, including 27 days annual leave.
