One Young World is the premier global forum for young leaders. As part of the Community Relations team, the Digital Communications Executive is responsible for driving One Young World's presence across a range of social media channels. Key duties include:
- Designing and implementing strategy across major social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn Google+ and Instagram
- Growing audience across all channels, particularly YouTube
- Monitoring and reporting of social media activity
- Editing photos to create visually engaging online content
- Coordinating social media volunteer team during annual Summit to ensure optimum online exposure for the event
- Managing relationships with partners (local, corporate, NGO) on collaborative communications campaigns
- Working with Community Relations Executives to report on and promote the impacts of One Young World Ambassadors
- Working with Community Relations Executives to report on and promote opportunities available to One Young World Ambassadors
- Creating and managing website content and assisting with PR campaigns
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree (2:1 or higher) and a strong academic record
- Have an active interest in current affairs and good knowledge of international issues and the role young people play in affecting them
- Have previous experience of managing multiple social media accounts in a professional context
- Have experience measuring the outcomes/success of social media campaigns
- Have excellent communications skills with previous experience in copy-writing or journalism
- Be highly efficient and organised and have experience of complex admin tasks
- Be a team player who takes initiative
- Cope well with deadlines, high-pressure environments and competing priorities
Additional desirable skills include:
- Written fluency in languages other than English, French or Italian
- Experience in web-based content management and basic coding knowledge
- Graphic design and video editing experience and knowledge of programs such as InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Premier
