The Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner for Northumbria is a dynamic, forward thinking, innovative organisation - always looking to go the extra mile to ensure the voice of local residents are heard and their priorities addressed by Northumbria Police.

We are now looking to recruit an Assistant Police & Crime Commissioner (fixed-term for one year from appointment) to support the work of the Police & Crime Commissioner. If you have a genuine interest in policing, criminal justice, community safety and supporting victims of crime and a broad understanding of the issues that face Northumbria police including some of the following areas – fraud, road traffic matters including National Driver Offenders Retraining Scheme, Police ICT, specialist capabilities locally, regional and nationally, we want to hear from you. We don't expect you to know about all areas of policing, but your knowledge and commitment should show a determination to learn.
