You will play a leading role in the Academy’s major policy projects and be involved in some or all stages of these projects (scoping, initiation, delivery and follow up). Key priorities during the period of the post will include delivering the implementation plan for the recommendations of our report on ‘Improving the use of scientific evidence for medicines’ project, supporting a new package of work on horizon scanning and scoping new projects.

A sound understanding of medical research landscape and experience of working in a policy environment are essential. You will be expected to foster excellent relationships with our Fellows, external partners and key stakeholders, and maintain strong networks with UK policy contacts. It is vital that you can operate flexibility within a small and closely-knit organisation and take the initiative to make a real difference.
