As Political Lobbying Network Developer here at Greenpeace, you will play a pivotal role in helping us to continue to increase our political impact by relaunching, managing and growing our crucial network of volunteer political lobbyists.

About the role
Greenpeace’s political lobbyists are based all over the UK and enable us to extend our reach by writing personal letters to and conducting face to face visits with their local MPs, MEPs and other local officials on our key campaigns.

Reporting to the Head of Outreach, as a key member of the Greenpeace Outreach Team, with significant cross-over with the Politics Team in GPUK, our successful candidate will be responsible for providing oversight and analysis of the size, responsiveness, skills and morale of the network. You will also implement training, communication tools, co-ordination tools and management to increase the size, responsiveness and skills of the network.

You will work closely with project leaders, politics team and campaigners and/or through external coalitions to agree and develop the political lobbying work that will be delivered by the PLN, while also coordinating the materials, briefings, support and tactics for political pushes through the PLN. Agreeing a programme of qualitative and quantitative assessment of the impact of the PLNs’ campaigns is another vital requirement of the role.

To secure this great opportunity, we are looking for:
A highly influential individual with strong experience of delivering campaigns and utilising successful lobbying techniques to lobby politicians and key decision makers. An outstanding communicator with a good knowledge of the UK political system, you will also have an impressive background of managing remote networks of volunteers, as well as administering effective training.

Exceptional interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills are also essential as is a commitment to Greenpeace UK’s mission, vision and values.
