You will be involved in supporting the Corporate Affairs Team, and Transport for Greater Manchester more generally, on a range of initiatives and work streams, aimed at delivering and shaping transport to meet the challenges set out in the GM Strategy.

You will have an active interest in economic, social or transport policy and have a good understanding of local and national policy and political structures. Excellent verbal and written skills are required, for example to brief colleagues and partner organisations and to prepare clear and concise briefings, speeches and reports for a diverse set of stakeholders. You will also have the capacity to work under pressure and to speedily understand and interpret the implications of policy changes on TfGM, districts and Greater Manchester. Experience of working with a range of stakeholders, for example local authorities, business sectors and other GM organisations is also essential.
