The Graduate Researcher for the Police and Crime Commissioner for Northumbria will be responsible for contributing to the Violence Against Women and Girls programme of work, working closely with the PCCs of both Cleveland and Durham. The post will be expected to undertake research and development on key VAWG issues, campaigns and performance analysis.

The post holder will be responsible for briefings on legislative changes and will therefore need experience in the law with relation to VAWG issues. They will support work in the area of public scrutiny of the Police and will work across the VAWG community to better effect improved practice; it is important that this work is evidenced based, well researched and informed.

The post holder will be a key member of the PCC core staff team, taking on a challenging role and working closely with the Commissioner. Excellent interpersonal and networking skills are a vital part of this position.
