As the voice of London business, London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) seeks to promote and enhance the interests of the capital’s business community through representations to central government, the Mayor and the GLA, Parliament and the media, as well as relevant international audiences.

We are seeking two new Policy Managers to join the team. The post-holder will help to develop LCCI policy positions on key London business issues, and develop and implement high-impact campaigns to influence governmental, parliamentary, City Hall and other key stakeholder audiences. Working with the Head of Public Affairs and research colleagues, you will be expected to develop knowledge specialisms in key policy areas which might include transport, devolution, skills and immigration, digital economy and property and construction.

The post-holder will actively collaborate with LCCI colleagues and, in particular, act as an LCCI link with relevant stakeholders, policymakers and decision takers at City Hall, the London Assembly, London local government and in the political parties represented at Westminster. Other tasks with include:

  • Liaising with LCCI members and advisory committees to manage and promote their policy issues in line with LCCI objectives and team priorities
  • Preparing submissions and responses to relevant consultations and inquiries
  • Identifying opportunities for, and/or threats to, the LCCI corporate agenda in the public policy area

We are seeking a confident and highly motivated self-starter with experience in a public affairs, policy or parliamentary environment. You will have strong analytical skills, political acumen and the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise way. Experience of issues affecting London business is desirable but not essential.
