Job Details

Serco is a FTSE top 250 international services company managing over 600 contracts worldwide. Serco specialise in the delivery of core public services to governments, with over 50,000 people working in defence, transport, justice, immigration, healthcare and other citizen services, across our four geographies: UK & Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Together, we bring a world of experience to what we do.

Be it in our operation of trains, prisons, air traffic control, satellites, military bases, hospitals, or much more, our purpose is to be a trusted partner of governments, delivering superb public services, that transform outcomes and make a positive difference for our fellow citizens.

Our culture is based on a set of four values - Trust, Care, Innovation, Pride - that shape our individual behaviours and hence the way the company behaves.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Serco for a Group Communications Manager. Working with the Group Strategy and Communications Director, you will design, develop and deliver an internal communications strategy at the Group level which more effectively drives employee understanding of the Group’s strategic narrative, progress and key priorities, as well as employee connection to Serco.

As a key part of the small Group Strategy, Marketing & Communications team, this role will be varied: as well as managing the day to day global internal communications, to name just a few areas you may also be involved in supporting strategic marketing, corporate collateral creation, reviewing and developing content for our internal and external channels, organising the annual Leadership Conferences across the Group, and more.

We are looking for someone who is bright, creative, proactive and who relishes a challenge; someone who can both think and do, and possess the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and some experience of working within communications is also essential.

The successful candidate will be a high achiever with solid academic background and will demonstrate a growth mind-set with an appetite for learning.

Due to the large scope of this new role, we are willing to consider applications from a wide range of experience levels.
