This is a financial trade body that represents over 200 members who are responsible for almost £6 trillion worth of assets across the UK and worldwide and campaign to promote the industry, working on issues such as financial security for an aging population to preparing for financial adversity, ensuring economic growth.

The role

As the Media Relations Manager, you will have responsibility for generating proactive thought leadership campaigns and media driven by the organisation’s policy initiatives. This will require you to proactively spot opportunities in the UK media and build relationships with journalists from financial and wider national media as well as other strategically important stakeholders. You will also create compelling collateral, speeches, op-eds and use social media to aid large media campaigns.

The candidate

• Proven media relations experience
• Experienced at developing proactive thought leadership campaigns
• Ideally have worked in financial services
• A good storyteller who can find a hook from content or other data
• Entrepreneurial in outlook and able to spot PR opportunities
• Able to produce quality content quickly
