Location: London

Salary: £12.50 per hour

Job Details

Dialogue by Design is a London-based consultancy specialising in consultation and citizen engagement. Many of our consultations and engagement processes relate to energy, water, infrastructure and environment, while we also have projects related to science and technology as well as health.

The work of our analysts consists mainly of coding qualitative (text) data in the form of consultation responses. We have developed bespoke database systems to enable our team of analysts to work on responses from a variety of stakeholders as well as members of the public. On some of our more complex projects analysts work as a team to analyse large volumes of responses.

From February to summer 2017 we will be working on several major public consultations. We have a number of analysts on our core team and during busy or intensive periods we call upon a pool of analysts on short term contracts. We are currently looking to expand this pool and are looking for post-graduate students or recent graduates who may be interested in part-time or full-time work on a short-term basis.

We expect to be able to welcome new analysts in May 2017. We will need applicants to be available for a minimum of 3 days a week. Arrangements will be flexible where possible.

The work
Analysts review individual responses to public consultations (for example on large infrastructure projects or policy documents) and apply pre-determined codes (text) to each response. This is all done via a database with a straightforward user interface.

All new analysts are given training and briefed in detail on specific projects and will work with a lead analyst and supervisor.
