Job Details
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Scottish Liberal Democrats in the post of Campaign Organiser. Based within the party office of East Dunbartonshire Liberal Democrats, this post will make a key contribution to how Jo Swinson MP and the newly expanded group of 6 Lib Dem Councillors are able to communicate effectively with their constituents.
The office location is within easy reach of Glasgow, with excellent train and bus services.
The successful applicant will be well-organised, with a keen interest in politics and campaigning. At this stage in the electoral cycle a key focus will be building the local volunteer network, so strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate others are important. The organiser will need to use the party’s database software and desktop publishing tools to manage records and produce effective campaign literature. The post-holder will be expected to establish positive working relationships across a range of key individuals, groups and stakeholders.
This role operates on a full-time basis, with some evening and weekend working, for which time off in lieu will be available. We are happy to discuss flexible working options. The post is offered initially on a 12 month contract basis, with a probationary period of 3 months.
