We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join the newly established office of Rt Hon Sir Vince Cable MP, leader of the Liberal Democrats. This is an exciting opportunity to support the continued growth of the party and ensure the new leader achieves his objectives, of ensuring that the voice of liberal, tolerant and outward looking Britain is heard at a time when the damaging consequences of Brexit must be challenged.

The Chief of Staff acts as principal adviser to the Leader, providing him with practical and political support. This involves running his office and staff team and interacting on the Leader’s behalf with party colleagues and key players in the wider political arena. The role requires stamina, emotional intelligence, analytical skills and clear thinking under pressure as well as demonstrating an empathy and understanding for the processes and structure of the Liberal Democrat Party in Parliament and in the country.
