Job Details

Do you want to see a fairer and more equal world? Then why not become an effective campaigner? At Oxfam we believe we can make change happen by building a more human economy, a fairer society and stand as one with people who are denied their rights. In today’s unprecedented and challenging political landscape we are looking for people to campaign with us on the structural causes of poverty affecting people in the UK and across the world.

We are working to make a positive impact on the decisions that affect the life chances of women and men living in poverty. We campaign on issues such as inequality, refugees and family reunion and climate change. If you want to make a difference to the people most affected by these issues then we can show you how. We know that poverty can be overcome.

Whatever your background or experience, if you can devote a few hours a month and share our values and passion for tackling the issues that cause suffering to so many, then please join us. Our volunteer Constituency Campaigner Programme aims to give you the influencing skills and information to be able to engage your MP and other decision-makers on Oxfam's campaigns.
No previous experience is necessary. You will learn about the issues that we campaign on, the work of an international development charity and how Parliament works.

Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible after the 24 September and will be required to attend one induction day - one will be held in London and another in Manchester.
Travel expenses to the induction training will be reimbursed in line with Oxfam's volunteer policy.
