We are looking for an intelligent, self-motivated, enthusiastic and proactive individual. The right person will have excellent writing skills, an understanding of the media and an interest in current affairs. They will be able to work on several assignments concurrently to meet multiple deadlines. You should be a good communicator, demonstrate attention to detail and have a strong work ethic.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a strategic context by working on an interesting mix of client accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Developing relationships with the media
  • Producing content and writing press releases and other PR materials
  • Dealing directly with clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Reporting, media monitoring and account handling
  • Monitoring the political and media landscape
  • Planning and organising public events
  • Supporting the team on admin

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Excellent writing skills - the ability to write clearly and effectively
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to ‘sell a story’ and communicate effectively with the media
  • An understanding of complex stakeholder landscapes, including local government structures
  • Desire to work as part of a small team in a busy working environment with a mix of clients
  • An interest in housing, property and infrastructure themes
  • Familiarity with social media and its application in business

General
Keeble Brown is a public relations agency specialising in media and stakeholder relations. We help clients establish their reputation with the people they value most - from internal to external communities.

Services include PR, media training, public consultation, pre-planning, crisis communications, public affairs and strategic communications advice. We also provide expert professional coaching for senior management.

Interns at Keeble Brown have a variety of responsibilities which include; research and drafting reports, social media management, office admin, creating press releases and contacting the media, taking minutes at client meetings, as well as organising events. We are looking for someone with focus and good time-management skills, as interns will be expected to contribute to numerous tasks at a time.

The internship will be for an initial period of 3 months but may be extended for the right candidate.

From our experience, applicants should be based in or very close to London.

Interview/Start Dates

Interviews will take place between Tuesday 29th August and Friday 15th September. A telephone conversation will be a part of the interview. Please include a telephone number and indicate preferred times for a short telephone chat.

Ideally, start date would be mid-September.
