Job Details

The Allied Health Professions Federation represents 12 member organisations and over 130,000 members working in the UK. It leads on health, social care and education policy affecting member associations and is the focal point for consultations with the Government and other national bodies.

This exciting role will actively contribute to raising the profile of the AHPF amongst political and other stakeholders. You will be working with the Chair and board of the AHPF to implement an influencing plan and reporting back progress regularly on progress to board meetings.

You will be an excellent communicator, politically aware and with a good understanding of the health and social care agenda. You will be familiar with the need to ensure collaboration and consensus, able to think strategically and be tenacious. You will also need the day to day skills to draft press releases and administrate a website.

You may have a background in a health or social care profession, or in a policy or political role. You may be a political researcher with ability and ambition, looking for the next step in your career. Whatever your background, however, you will need to be able to work in a challenging but rewarding environment, with a Chair and leaders of 12 health professions, and a variety of national stakeholders the AHPF collaborates with.
