Following a restructure the CPA is seeking to appoint a highly-qualified Commonwealth national to a newly created position of Head of Public Outreach to lead on and oversee the development and implementation of projects and programs that engage key and new audiences and International donor/partner organisations, as well as enhance the reach and promotion of Parliamentary democracy with and for our membership.

To be considered for this position you will need to be a politically astute, forward thinking, internationally experienced, committed and energetic people focused individual, with a track record of establishing public outreach programs geared for a multi-generation audience and specific user groups, within a Parliamentary, international development donor or government organisation.

Working closely with the senior management and the projects team, the successful candidate will be proactive and innovative in the development, delivery and monitoring of outreach activities that accomplish stated goals and an aptitude in maximising opportunities to enhance organisational reach and improving the digital use and accessibility of the CPA Secretariat.

The successful candidate will need be a well-connected individual with a track record in commanding the respect of internal and external stakeholders, drawing in a wide range of connections and networks across the international/Commonwealth donor organisations and enhancing an organisation reach within civil society.

At a high level, the post holder’s responsibilities flow directly from the CPA Strategic Framework and Communication Strategy, and the CPA, as the leading inter-Commonwealth Parliamentary strengthening institution, needs to deliver a first-class and business-oriented outreach experience across our membership and partnership base.

You will have direct line management of the Editor and Communications Manager as well as support from a multi-cultural team whom implement and run a calendar of member events and outreach activities ranging from small networking functions to more formal seminars.
