MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THE ROLE
• Apply the Intelligence Cycle to all aspects of intelligence work, especially the collation, evaluation and interpretation of data to produce well-rounded analysis and subsequent assessment, which is based on information gleaned from a number of sources, using both closed and open-source research techniques
• To produce a variety of reports, presentations and briefings for external and internal clients
• Presented in a format suitable to client needs, including but not limited to data visualisations and other tools
• Identify the need for, and then carry out detailed research, in areas such as politics, economics, terrorism, insurgency and crime, in order to support information requirements based on clients' needs
• Maintain a robust overview of current affairs, with particular focus on those areas where Pilgrims’ clients are located, where Pilgrims has developing business, and potential areas of conflict
• Provide intelligence related support to clients and internal lines of business as and when required
• Proactively identify business intelligence leads relevant to Pilgrims Group and disseminate appropriately
• Support and assist with maintaining budgetary reporting, internal processes and day-to-day administration of the team
• Proactively engage with the rest of the Operations team so as to understand current and future operations and the intelligence and analysis requirements to support them; regular engagement with the Research and Operations Officers to advise on areas of support for the Risk and Information Services function
• Be familiar with all aspects of the Senior Intelligence Analyst’s role and deputise for him/her in their absence, or when requested. Support the Senior Intelligence Analyst with his/her workload as required

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Maintaining complex records, non-routine queries, analyzing data, preparing standard reports
• Understanding of a range of work procedures and practices some of which may be non-routine and which require a base level of knowledge
• Formal training or equivalent experience of 2 years or more required, and competency expected after a period of intensive training of a few weeks
