Job Details

Fearless Futures
Fearless Futures engages people in critical thought to understand and challenge the root causes of inequalities and grow powerful new ways of leading transformative change.

We do this through equality and leadership programmes for young people in schools and people in the workplace.

We are searching for a Programmes + Team Assistant to work across both of our work streams: schools and organisations. As a startup that has existed for just over three years, we are an exciting, dynamic team of three who work tirelessly to end inequality across our society. We have a flat structure, and we support and manage one another through collaboration, compassion and openness.

Our new Programmes + Team Assistant will be trained and directly supported by our COO. They will begin by engaging primarily with the team’s administrative needs, including* diary management, resource management, creating spreadsheets and external communications documents, updating internal systems, travel and accommodation booking, general filing and operational duties. You will also be a key part of our schools work – following tried and tested processes to manage the administration side of the programmes from beginning to end.

Beyond these aspects of the role, we want the role to function as the backbone of the organisation, supporting us at speed through all of our work to ensure we can be the best we can be, in order to affect positive change within society. We hope in return we can offer a real opportunity to gain experience working in an innovative, fast-paced and ambitious team where there is much to learn from hands-on work. Through opportunities to work on our public events with organisations and schools (e.g The Gender Assembly), and our schools work, we hope to give you access to a range of experiences that are exciting, different and fun!

*Please note: this is not exhaustive, and the exact programme of work will be developed collaboratively based on the successful candidate’s experience, interests and capabilities.

This is a full-time, six-month fixed term contract.

Remote or flexible working is a possibility within the Greater London area. The current team meet and work regularly at our Bethnal Green offices and occasionally work from home.

Closing Date: 17 November 2017

Interview/Start Dates

Deadline: 10am.

The assessment round will take place in the week beginning 27th November or 4th December 2017.
We hope the appointed person will start in January 2018, but this is open to negotiation.
