If so we’d love to hear from you as we’re currently looking for a Briefing Officer to join our Rail Passenger Services division.

As a Briefing Officer, you will work closely with private offices, ministers and with colleagues across the Governments rail franchising programme to provide high quality, often urgent briefing for departmental ministers, the Prime Minister and other government departments.

The role will lead on engaging with key internal stakeholders including senior staff who will not necessarily have a civil service background, ensuring that their work meets Ministers’ requirements. The post holder will understand the political context in which the department works, and be sensitive to the priorities, values and interests of Ministers.
