Job Details
TalkPolitics is an independent think-tank and campaign group aimed at tackling political apathy and its root causes, especially amongst young people.
We believe that it is essential to Western ideals of representative democracy to:
- Defend and extend free speech and get the vote out.
- Drastically improve political awareness and education in the UK.
- Tackle the bad image politics gets and make it accessible to all.
We can't do it alone. We need talented individuals to contribute to our various blog series, including "Politics Put Simply", "MythBusters", "People Behind the Policy" and others.
You'll only have to spend a small amount of time writing blog posts for the website, however we do expect a certain level of commitment. There are also a lot of opportunities to get more involved in our other campaigns.
This is a great opportunity to join an exciting group that is run by people who have a genuine passion for politics and democracy. We're not looking for people who want to add another tick to their CV, we're looking for people who really care about tackling political apathy, and who want to make a difference.
If you have a talent for writing and think that TalkPolitics is the campaign for you, then we're waiting for you.
W4MP Note:
The role being advertised is a voluntary one. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you should be free to come and go as you wish. If the post demands set hours and/or has a specific job description you may be deemed to be a ‘worker’ and be covered by National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage legislation.
