Job Details
Tandridge District Council are advertising this role on behalf of The District Council's Network http://districtcouncils.info/.
The District Council’s Network represents 200 district councils from across England to provide a single national voice for district councils within the LGA, Central Government and national bodies. Our small office team supports the DCN Member Board, Chief Executive Group, DCN National Conference and 3 DCN Assemblies alongside a staff development programme and other important meetings and seminars. We are seeking a talented and ambitious events and administration officer who can combine their natural attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, alongside their passion for delivering high quality events which are well attended and run smoothly for our members.
As the first point of contact for the organisation you will have excellent communications skills both over the phone and on email and will be familiar with implementing administrative systems to improve our contact with members. You will also have the opportunity to be the logistical lead for a number of high profile DCN events with a view to attracting additional income to ensure costs are met. You’ll ideally also have experience of working closely with senior leaders within the public sector and will have organised diaries, meetings and events in a recent role.
The job is based in London and is offered as a permanent role; alternatively we would be very happy to receive applications from council employees on a secondment basis. Whilst this is a full time role, applicants who wish to work a slightly shorter working week will be considered.
Closing Date: 28 November 2017
Interview/Start Dates
Shortlisted Candidates will need to be available for interview on the afternoon of Thursday 7th December in Central London.
