You will lead and manage the Impact and Quality team so that it ensures the organisation is equipped to measure and report progress against its strategy, and can determine the external impact of its key strategic activities.

Integral to this is your ability to provide evaluation and impact leadership to a small team and across the organisation. You will need to possess the gravitas to inspire a culture of evaluation across Prostate Cancer UK, while demonstrating significant knowledge of the evaluation methodologies used to assess the performance and impact of health-related services, policy, influencing activity, communications and research funding. You will also have demonstrable experience of setting and reporting against key performance indicators, ensuring they can effectively demonstrate the causal impact of organisational strategic activity and can inform the key strategic decisions taken by senior managers and the Board.

With outstanding stakeholder management skills, you will be able to build relationships and gain confidence and respect with ease. This will be evidenced by your ability to lead projects - or work collaboratively as part of a project team - sharing expertise so that others are upskilled in evaluation and impact measurement. You will have the skills to motivate others to share learning, identify improvement opportunities and develop innovative new initiatives. You will also have management experience and can set clear objectives for a team. You have budget management experience too.

The underpinning skills and experience we want
Educated to degree level
Analytical skills across qualitative and quantitative data, with the ability to understand and prioritise data according to its relevance
Experience of using databases and analytical tools, with the ability to produce outputs that distil and translate complex data in a usable format for a range of different audiences
Experience of setting and reporting against key performance indicators, ensuring they can effectively demonstrate the causal impact of organisational strategic activity
Experience of evaluation methodologies used to assess the performance and impact of health-related services and policy
Experience of commissioning high-quality evaluation research for large-scale projects or services
