Job Details

Plan International UK strives to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world. Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

We run campaigns to engage the British public to help make a difference and achieve positive impact in the lives of children, especially girls, around the world. Our priority campaign Because I am a Girl focuses on girls’ rights and has youth engagement and empowerment at its heart.

As Campaigns Officer you will work to make sure our campaigns have impact and are delivered using strong and compelling content and materials. Supporting campaign delivery by working across both our international and UK campaigning priorities, you will also be responsible for administration generated by the campaign.

You will be a very well organised person with strong task management and administrative skills who can balance multiple tasks at the same time. You will also be able to demonstrate strong collaborative working skills to get a project delivered in a large and complex organisation. We are looking for experience of effective and impactful campaigns in the UK social justice or development fields, and a track record of creating compelling and successful campaign resources and materials to drive engagement and impact. With a strong understanding of gender inequality and how gender impacts on the lives of the young people we represent, you will be passionate about the realisation of girls’ rights both in the UK and globally, and appreciate the importance of connecting them and campaigning for universal girls’ rights, for all girls, everywhere.
