This Government Relations Researcher role provides specialist input to other members of the GR team and Country Chair through research, monitoring, information management and stakeholder analysis; builds working relationships with Parliamentary contacts; and represents the interests of Shell on certain topics and/or policy areas.
Purpose
- Monitor and research parliamentary and other political activity relevant to Shell’s interests on energy/climate security, energy policy, the regulatory framework within which Shell operates in the UK and research key stakeholders and Shell’s reputation more generally in the UK in order to inform Shell advocacy plans
- Support the UK Government Relations efforts in representing Shell’s interest to Government, regulators and other external stakeholders related to discreet projects through developing and delivering advocacy strategies
- Lead delivery of the RDS Annual Reception, and the Whitehall Course with strategic support from Head of UK GR, line manager and other team members. This may include managing one part-time contractor
- Provide management support to the UK GR team with particular regard to information management
