37.5hrs per week.

Key Duties:
Assisting on projects
Assisting with arrangement for events
Assisting with diary management
Assisting/learning how to manage casework
Assisting/learning how to monitor media coverage and brief MP
Attending surgeries and other meetings as part of training
Basic administrative support
Learning how to analyse, evaluate and interpret data
Learning/assisting in appropriate research
Learning/assisting in drafting responses to constituents
Learning/assisting in other parliamentary duties as required
Opening and dispatching mail

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate they have:
Knowledge of the Dundee East constituency
Understanding of UK, Scottish and Local Government politics
Good written and verbal communication skills
A positive team oriented attitude but also an ability to work independently
Excellent organisational and time management skills, the ability to work under pressure and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Computer literate – must have good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Email systems
Understanding of the main social media platforms
Able to work with diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality
