Job Details

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Director of Strategy, who will have lead responsibility for analysis of issues, voter opinions, demographic trends and other factors the party should take into account in planning its campaigning and communication. The post holder will have lead responsibility for developing communication and campaign strategy, including the core narrative, themes, straplines, scripts and key messages.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the structure and organisation of the Labour Party; experience of working in a political environment and developing political strategies and campaigns; knowledge and understanding of political research, including polling and focus groups; a thorough knowledge of all types of media nationally and regionally; and excellent organisational and decision-making skills to ensure quick responses to requests from internal and external stakeholders.
