Job Title: Political Blog Writers, Satirists and Presenters

Working For: The Germinal

Location: Internet

Salary: Voluntary - Expenses Covered

Job Details

Tired of politics seeming boring?  The Germinal is an exciting new politics blog and online media outlet for young people, due to launch in March 2018.  We want you to join us.

We’re looking for talented people to be the next generation of commentators and political content producers.  We need engaging writers, video presenters and joke creators on current affairs, from all parts of the political spectrum.  Got an axe to grind?  We’ll give you a place to vent.

Don’t worry if you lack experience, as training will be provided.  Most important is that you want to make politics accessible to a wide audience.

Our project is headed by the 26-year-old winner of the New Statesman & Virago Prize for political commentary, working alongside video producers who have worked for major outlets, such as the Guardian and Vice News.  But we need fresh new talent - this is where you come in.

While you will initially be working for us on a volunteer basis, the success of the project may lead to permanent remunerated roles.

Closing Date: 28 January 2018

Interview/Start Dates

Candidates will be contacted via email. Volunteers can participate as best suits their schedule, but can expect to be up and running by February 19th 2018.
