The Royal Institute of British Architects champions better buildings, stronger communities and higher environmental standards through the practice of architecture and our 40,000 members. We provide the standards, training, support and recognition that put our members – in the UK and overseas – at the peak of their profession. With government and our partners, we work to improve the design quality of public buildings, new homes and new communities.
We are looking for a Public Affairs Executive to work within the Policy and Public Affairs team, which leads on the RIBA’s engagement with government and the wider public policy debate.
Your role will enable you to establish relationships with key public affairs stakeholders as you work on a contact programme with MPs, Peers, Ministers, civil servants and key stakeholder organisations.
You will be responsible for overseeing the RIBA contact list of political and external stakeholders and working with our external monitoring agency to inform policy and public affairs team of the latest political developments from Government, Parliament and elsewhere.
Responsibilities of this role include the production of briefing materials as well as drafting speeches and articles for senior RIBA staff, members and President on key political and policy developments.
