The British Medical Association (BMA) is a professional association and independent trade union, representing approximately 160,000 doctors and medical students from all branches of medicine across the UK and supporting them to deliver the highest standards of patient care.

We are looking to recruit a Committee Advice and Support Officer on a fixed term contract to provide support to the smooth running of committees including arranging meetings, collating/despatching agenda and papers, attending meetings, developing draft minutes for review, recording and following up completion to report back to committee.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the ability to draft minutes, policy reports and briefings with the ability to provide support to ensure the smooth running of committees. Experience of providing project support is essential together with the ability to work flexibly, picking up new areas of work and responding to areas of need in a positive manner. Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and effective organisational skills are key requirements of the role.
