The Labour Party are looking to recruit two Lead Community Organisers to work as part of the Labour Party across the UK.

The Lead Community Organisers will work with the Director of Community Organising to devise and deliver a community organising action plan that will embed an effective and sustainable community organising model across the UK. The Lead Community Organisers will develop and manage the work plan of a team of highly effective Community Organisers nationally, turning CLPs into engines of change and ensuring we organise with key community stakeholders such as community leaders, members and other movements, to guarantee that the Labour Party develops as a progressive and relevant grass roots movement winning between elections and at elections.

The post-holders should have extensive knowledge of community organising, training and effective campaign building. They should have experience of building alliances and ability to work with diverse communities, bringing people together to campaign on progressive issues. The post-holder will also have good communication skills with the ability to use social media and traditional media to effectively power campaigns.

This role is a 24 month fixed term contract.
