We are looking for an Internal Communications Officer to play a frontline role in the continuous improvement of internal communications within Imperial, maintaining and developing new channels and resources. You would work within the closely-integrated Communications team, which is responsible for corporate media relations activities, as well as internal communications.

This career opportunity promises to be varied and paced. Duties will include leading on the production of news packages about the College community, alongside developing and delivering communications plans to support the College’s mission. You will be astute in writing for and engaging with Imperial’s unique internal audiences, providing support and advice across College departments and projects.

This role will utilise to the maximum your experience gained in a position such as Internal Communications Officer, Internal Communications Specialist, Communications Officer, PR and Communications Officer or similar, in an internal communications/engagement team within a complex matrix organisation. You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of effective mechanisms for communications and engagement and be used to working independently and dealing with unforeseen problems. You’ll have outstanding written and editing skills, with excellent standards of accuracy and consistency. You will also have experience of building up and maintaining contacts across an organisation, and be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
