An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our Policy & Governance team as a Policy & Research Officer. You will be responsible for supporting the development of CILEx policy in relation to the practice, regulation and education of specialist lawyers and paralegals. You will conduct desk-based research, respond to consultations, write policy papers, briefings and creative content for articles, papers, presentations, and speeches to articulate CILEx policy solutions. You will engage with our professional members and internal and external stakeholders in the development of policy, and represent the institute externally in communicating that policy.

Suitable applicants will have practical experience of undertaking similar activities in a comparable environment, ideally in a professional, regulatory, or other membership organisation. You possess excellent policy development, writing, and organisational skills, know how to find relevant information and apply it to the matter at hand, and be creative and sensitive to working with a variety of stakeholders. Legal background or knowledge is desirable.
