The Role

The Business Development Manager will be lead generating and selling sponsorships, exhibitions, corporate membership including new products and services. Due to additional commercial capability and development plans, The Henry Jackson Society is looking for someone who can manage a portfolio of outbound sales, business development and account management. This is a new role and you will have the opportunity to help shape and develop a portfolio selling corporate membership, multi-platform media, training and development as well as publishing products and events.

Responsibilities

  • Research the market and qualify/generate new leads;
  • Conduct face to face meetings and sell over the phone to senior leaders in target markets;
  • Close sales in line with key timelines and deadlines;
  • Manage and implement deliverables according to any contracts;
  • Reporting of key performance figures and measurables as required;
  • Build sales pipeline and provide quantitative reporting to line manager;
  • Help to develop new products and packages;
  • Maintain all commercial data on the CRM system.
  • Such other duties may be assigned by the Executive Director or their nominee.
