Job Details

Do you believe that journalism can make a difference in the world? Are you interested in a career in social media and communications? Come and work in Greenpeace’s team of investigative journalists

Greenpeace stands for positive change through action. They investigate, expose and confront environmental abuse by governments and corporations around the world. Globally, their priority campaigns are the prevention of climate change, the protection of the world’s ancient forests and defending oceans from the threat of overexploitation.

Unearthed is a pioneering news site set up by Greenpeace. It is editorially independent from Greenpeace and run by a team of journalists and investigators who report on all things related to climate change around the world. Unearthed is dedicated to truth, honesty and accountability in reporting, and needs an intern who will share these principles to help grow its online audience, primarily on Facebook and Youtube. This internship includes an amazing opportunity to take ownership of a project looking at our online communication channels & how Greenpeace and Unearthed engage different audiences.

Unearthed is looking for an intern with good communication skills and a creative spark who will work well both as part of a team and independently.

As part of the internship will undertake relevant training, which can be adapted to meet your interests. There will be plenty of room for taking initiative and guiding the internship based on your skills and interests – you’ll be able to write stories, produce videos or data visualisations, etc.
