We’re looking for an exceptional candidate to lead our work on the UK social security system. The (Senior) Economic Analyst will play a key role growing the Foundation’s reputation for conducting high quality, innovative analysis of the interaction between low to middle income households and the state in Britain.

We require first rate quantitative research skills, as well as an understanding of the UK’s social security policy environment. The successful candidate will take the lead on analysing the distributional effects of different shifts in working-age welfare policy, alongside proposing and testing new policy alternatives.

The role would suit a candidate who has formal training in statistical or econometric analysis and has extensive experience of applying that training in a work environment conducting statistical analysis of UK data sets. Candidates with more formal training may require less work experience and vice versa.
