The Position:
This is an exciting chance to take part in policy debates which are frequently the subject of press headlines and political discussion: business rescue, ethics, fraud, personal debt, and mental health are all issues relevant to insolvency and restructuring.
In the role, you will liaise with senior members of the insolvency and restructuring profession to formulate both policies for reforming the UK’s insolvency framework, and policy responses to government consultations and issues raised by high profile insolvencies.
As a crucial part of R3’s communications team, you will support the team’s overall objectives, helping to inform press work and political debate, and contributing towards the team’s successful track record of policy change on insolvency and restructuring issues.
This is your chance to have a direct say on the way the UK’s insolvency and restructuring framework works.
The Person:
Experience of policy development will be essential, along with the ability to demonstrate professional curiosity and an enthusiasm for exploring new policy issues. If you are self-motivated, efficient, and well-organised, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and on simultaneous projects, then this is the ideal opportunity for you. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to adapt content for different audiences.
The Company & Profession:
R3 is the association for the UK’s insolvency, restructuring, advisory, and turnaround profession. We represent insolvency practitioners, lawyers, turnaround and restructuring experts, students, and more.
The insolvency, restructuring and turnaround profession is a key part of the UK economy. The profession rescues businesses and jobs, creates the confidence to trade and lend by returning money fairly to creditors after insolvencies, and helps indebted individuals get back on their feet.
R3 ensures the work of the insolvency and restructuring profession is recognised, understood, and valued by government, parliament, the public, the business community, and others. This work includes highlighting both policy issues for the profession as well as financial challenges facing business and individuals.
