YMCA England & Wales is looking for a Digital Communications Officer to manage the organisation’s social and online presence.

Working in a vibrant external affairs team, the Digital Communications Officer will lead on YMCA England & Wales’ social media output promoting our organisation, research and campaign work as well as providing support to Income Generation teams.

The role will focus on co-ordinating and growing the digital activity for the largest and oldest youth charity in the world, alongside working with the wider 116 member strong YMCA federation to ensure alignment of messaging, branding and imagery throughout YMCAs digital channels.

The successful candidate should have experience of working in a complex communications environment and planning campaigns as part of wider communications; knowledge of online campaigning techniques; excellent written and oral communications skills; and excellent attention to detail.

Reporting to the Press and Public Affairs Manager, they will have an in-depth knowledge of managing media, social media and communications campaigns. They will also have experience in developing a wide range of targeted communication materials, including utilising case studies and developing digital content.
